By the end of the course, learners will be able to confidently demonstrate the four core language skills required for success in the IELTS Academic exam. They will be able to write structured, coherent academic essays and accurately describe visual data using appropriate vocabulary and grammar. Learners will apply effective reading strategies such as skimming, scanning, paraphrasing, and prediction to locate and interpret information quickly. In listening tasks, they will identify key information, understand various question types, and use vocabulary and spelling appropriate to different contexts. In speaking, learners will communicate fluently and accurately, express and justify opinions, and effectively analyse and compare ideas using a range of academic language.
Applicants must have a basic level of English proficiency, equivalent to CEFR A2 or higher, and be able to understand and communicate simple information in everyday situations. A placement test may be required to assess suitability for the course. Applicants should also be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrolment.
